How to form the Present Continuous:

The Present Continuous is formed with the subject + am / is / are + ing form of the verb

Verbs ending in eremove e and add  -ing          write - she is writing

Verbs ending in a consonant + vowel + consonant, double the last consonant and add -ing     he is sitting
