When to use the Present Simple.

to talk about an action which we repeat regularly (habits/routines/customs)

On Tuesdays I get up at 5am.

I go to work by car.

to talk about facts which are always or generally true

The moon shines at night.

Some people walk to work.

I am British.

We often use these words (frequency adverbs) with the Present Simple:

always, usually/generally/normally, often, sometimes, not (very) often, occasionally, hardly ever, never

I always arrive late at school.

I never go by bus.

I sometimes cycle to work.
